MA COLA

In accordance with c152 Section 34B if the injured worker is collecting Social Security Disability Benefits they are only eligible for a COLA to the extent that it will not reduce the amount that they receive under SSDI.  This applies to Permanent Total and Temporary Partial claims.  Usually at age 65, sometimes earlier, (maybe later now that the retirement age is increasing) the employee will be switched to Social Security Retirement Benefits and taken off of Social Security Disability Benefits entitling them to the full COLA.
